Purna Rodman Conare
President & CEO
Purna is a proven leader with more than 30 years of experience in complex health and human services organizations. He has served as President and CEO of the Kennedy-Donovan Center in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Executive Director at ActionAIDS in Philadelphia and as Director of Finance and Controller at Daniel Freeman Hospitals in Los Angeles. He oversees all aspects of the agency’s operations.
Angelica Diaz-Martinez, Psy.D.
Senior V.P. for Operations
Angelica joined the CPNJ team in November 2013, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in psychological counseling and program oversight with a number of nonprofit organizations, including Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Stevens Institute of Technology and the Pingry School. Angelica oversees the agency’s Horizon Schools, adult day programs and all community residences.
V.P. of Finance & Chief Financial Officer
Rick Bornstein joined CPNJ in November of 2016 with more than 40 years of experience in Senior Financial Management. He has served as CFO of a Medicaid funded long-term home health agency and then of a community housing agency. Most recently he lead the financial operations of Kennedy-Donovan Center in Massachusetts. Rick manages CPNJ’s 36 million dollar budget and the agency’s finance department.
David Bishop, MPA
V.P. for Development & Communications
David has worked in nonprofit development for more than 20 years, including the last 10 with CPNJ. He oversees the agency’s fundraising activities, as well as press releases, website and social network outreach, publications and CPNJ’s volunteer program.
V.P. for Human Resources
Patti joined CPNJ in 2015, bringing with her more than 20 years of HR experience, including the last 14 years with Barnabas Health Home Care and Hospice. She manages a team of five staff members responsible for meeting the needs of more than 800 full- and part-time employees spread across 19 different program locations.
Director of Early Intervention
Carolyn has been with CPNJ for 26 years and has more than 30 years of experience in non-profits. Carolyn oversees CPNJ's Early Intervention Program which operates in 8 counties throughout New Jersey and served over 500 children last year.
Christopher Lynch, Ph.D.
Principal, Horizon High School
Chris has more than 18 years of experience working in private nonprofit schools for students with disabilities, including five years as vice principal in a private school program for students with behavioral disabilities. He supervises a staff of more than 80 teachers, therapists and aides serving our students.
Director of Community Services
Lori has worked in the nonprofit arena for more than 10 years, including the last seven years with CPNJ. She is charged with developing all of the agency’s fee-for-service programs. These programs are designed to fill in the gaps in service not addressed by our other programs. Her programs serve more than 350 children and adults.
Aimee Greene, BA, RN, CSN, MS
Director of Healthcare Services
Aimee joined CPNJ in May 2012. She has more than 16 years of nursing experience, including working with children and adults with disabilities. She oversees the delivery of healthcare services throughout the agency.
Joy England, MPA
Director of Adult Services
Joy Joined CPNJ in June of 2014 with over 10 years of experience with nonprofit organizations serving individuals with disabilities. Joy oversees CPNJ’s four Adult Training Centers, supervising more than 100 staff members serving over 190 adults with developmental disabilities.
Tina Volpe, M.Ed.
Principal, Horizon Elementary School
Tina has more than 15 years of experience working with students with disabilities through both the North Arlington Public School District and a private nonprofit school serving special needs students. She supervises a staff of more than 60 teachers, therapists and aides serving our students.
Kent D. Dettlo, MSW
Director of Residential Services
Kent has more than 17 years of experience in residential services for individuals with disabilities, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health Services with Easter Seals New Jersey, where he oversaw 55 residential sites. He oversees the operation of all of CPNJ’s community residences as well as our 24-unit apartment complex and supervises a staff of more than 200.
Director of Facilities
Charlie joined CPNJ in June of 2009 as the Facilities Coordinator, with him more than 20 years of experience in facilities maintenance. In 2015, he was named the Director of Facilities, He oversees all maintenance staff throughout the organization and is charged with supporting the agency’s 19 facilities located throughout Northern New Jersey .
Alicia- Ann Caesar
Director of Training
Alicia-Ann joined CPNJ in August 2015 with 7 years of nonprofit experience. She has been in the field of Developmental Disabilities since 2010. Alicia-Ann, currently oversees training for over 800 of CPNJ’s employees.
