On 1/16/13 ATLAS invited the first of many Horizon School families to participate in our At Home Access Program where parents and caregivers were able to learn how their child accesses the computer using special switches. The families were then given the opportunity to borrow special computer equipment to try the new activities at home. We hope the families have fun with their new tools! Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey (CPNJ) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and other special needs by supporting personal growth, independence and participation in the community.
CPNJ recently secured funding to purchase and renovate a new community residence for four adults in Basking Ridge. The new home is a three- bedroom ranch house. The project is made possible by the support of the town of Basking Ridge and the Department of Community Affairs, Home Mortgage Financing Authority. Renovations are expected to start in March and be completed by late summer and residents will be moving in by September. This will be CPNJ’s 12th residential project, as we continue to work hard to serve the more than 8,000 adults in New Jersey in need of community housing.
