Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey (CPNJ) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and other special needs by supporting personal growth, independence and participation in the community.
In 2017, The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey celebrated their 20th anniversary by awarding 20 grants of $20,000, to be used at the discretion of the receiving organizations. CPNJ was honored to receive one of these awards and opted to use the funds to install a pool lift system at our Horizon High School in Livingston.
Yesterday, students from our Horizon Elementary School who are scheduled to graduate in June traveled to our Horizon High School for a fantastic Winter Olympics- themed morning of activities. Students from both schools mingled as they took part in adapted versions of bobsled and curling, as well as other fun games! The day was part of a series of visits by the students to help them adapt to and eventually transition to the high school.
