Our Building Blocks Early Intervention Program has been providing early intervention services for almost 30 years. We serve as a contractor for the State of New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services to provide early intervention services in your child’s home or other natural environment.
Our team consists of early special educators, physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, child development specialists, behavioral specialists, teachers of the deaf, child development associates, social workers, nurses, and translators. Children are eligible for Early Intervention Program service if they are under three years of age, and exhibit:
- 33% delay in one area of development
- 25% delay in two or more areas of development
- And/or have been diagnosed with a condition that has a high probability of resulting in developmental delay (for example Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, etc.)
Families must also agree to participate in the state’s family cost share. The amount of the family cost share is determined by family income.
